DFIC Error 71 - Duplicate Task Code

Summary

This error indicates that a task code is used more than once in a client's cost rate table.

Resolution

This error can be corrected by editing the cost rate table for the client indicated on the Data File Integrity Check Error Report.

  1. From the Tabs3 menu, select File | Open | Client.
  2. In the Client ID field, enter the Client ID shown on the report.
  3. On the Rates tab, click Cost Rate Table.
  4. Click the drop-down arrow next to the Expense ID field and select the task code indicated on the report.
  5. Click the Delete Rate button to remove the first occurrence of the task code from the cost rate table.
  6. Click the drop-down arrow next to the Expense ID field and select the task code indicated on the report.
  7. Make sure the correct rate for the task code is entered in the Rate and New Rate fields. If you need to change the rate, click the Save Rate button after doing so.
  8. Click OK to close the Cost Rate Table window, and then press Ctrl+S to save your changes.
  9. Run the Data File Integrity Check again to confirm there are no errors.
