When installing Tabs3, PracticeMaster, or PracticeMaster Briefcase, the installation program checks to determine what version of the Internet Explorer Web browser software is currently installed. If the installed version of Internet Explorer is earlier than Version 6, a message will be displayed advising you to update Internet Explorer to the current version.
Note: Tabs3 and PracticeMaster are fully compatible with Internet Explorer Versions 9, 8, & 7. However due to new default settings in IE 9, IE8, & IE7, a configuration setting may need to be changed in order to prevent security warnings in a network environment. KB Article R11124, Open File - Security Warning, contains additional information regarding the security warnings and specific configuration setting.
Note: Although the Tabs3 and PracticeMaster software may operate successfully when using Internet Explorer Version 5.5 or earlier, Software Technology, Inc. will not support or troubleshoot issues related to earlier versions of Internet Explorer.
Because of several new and updated program features such as the SnapShot feature, Internet Explorer Version 6 or later should be installed. This will allow you to get the most out of the Tabs3 and PracticeMaster software.
To determine which version of Internet Explorer is currently installed
If you need to update Internet Explorer to the latest version, there are two methods available:
If your version of Internet Explorer is earlier than Version 6, the recommended method of updating Internet Explorer is to download the latest service pack(s) for your operating system. Service pack downloads can be found on Microsoft's Web site at www.microsoft.com/downloads/.
If your version of Internet Explorer is earlier than Version 6 and you do not want to download the latest service pack(s) for your operating system, you can download the latest version of Internet Explorer from Microsoft's Web site at www.microsoft.com/ie/.
