Selecting Help | About from the menu bar of any Tabs3 or PracticeMaster program (e.g., Help | About Tabs3) brings up the following basic information:
This information is portrayed primarily in two areas of the window: the Middle Section and the Lower Section.

The middle section of the About window contains information about the program and the workstation. A scrollbar on the right side of the window allows you to scroll down to see more information. The following information is provided in the middle section:

Serial Number |
The serial number for the Tabs3 or PracticeMaster software sublicense. This information is also provided in the top section of the About window, and is required when you call our Technical Support Department. |

User ID |
The currently logged on User ID that is being used to view the Help | About window. |
|
Current Working Directory |
The directory currently being used by the program for data storage. |
|
Release Date |
The date the program files were released or last modified. |
|
Version |
The version of the program. |
|
Program Directory |
The directory in which the program files are installed. |
|
Firm Name |
The firm name entered in System Configuration. |
|
File Handler |
The file name and modified date of the file handler being used by the workstation in conjunction with the Tabs3 or PracticeMaster software. A file handler interacts with the operating system to create, open, access, close, rename and delete files. |

Server Name |
Name of the server defined in the STSRVR.CFG file. |
|
Current Connections |
Number of connections currently in use. |
|
Maximum Connections |
Represents the CONNECTIONS value in the CTSRVR.CFG file. If no value is defined in the CTSRVR.CFG file, the maximum connections will be the activation limit or 128 (whichever is lower). |

Activation Limit |
Represents number of connections purchased. STI Server Connections are available in 8, 16, 32, 64, 128, 256, 512, and 1,024 quantities. |

STHB Release Date |
The date the HotBackup program executable was released or last modified. |
|
STHB Version |
The version of the HotBackup program executable. |
|
HBRestore Release Date |
The date the HotBackup Restore program executable in the program directory was released or last modified. |
|
HBRestore Version |
The version of the HotBackup Restore program executable. Note: The HBRestore version number does not correspond to the version number of the Tabs3 or PracticeMaster software. |

Ctrdmp Release Date |
The date the CTree Record Dump program executable was released or last modified. |
|
Director Release Date |
The date the STI Director program executable was released or last modified. |
|
Director Version |
The version of the STI Director program executable. |
|
Director Version Number |
The version control number of the STI Director program executable. Note: The Director version control number does not correspond to the version number of the Tabs3 or PracticeMaster software. |

CTree Protocol |
The network protocol used by the CTree database. This will always be one of the following:

Temp File Path |
The directory used by the Windows operating system for creating and manipulating temporary files. |
|
OA Temp Dir |
A unique directory name created by the software for temporarily storing DropBox files. |
|
DropBox Release Date |
The date the DropBox program executable was released or last modified. |
|
DropBox Version |
The version of the DropBox program executable. |
|
Manager |
Indicates whether the User ID currently logged in to the software is assigned to the Manager Access Profile in System Configuration. |

Additional Program Specific Information |
Additional information specific to the program is provided in several more fields. This information will vary from program to program. The following table lists the program specific fields included for each Tabs3 or PracticeMaster program. |

The lower section of the Help | About window contains information about the workstation and about the network on which the Tabs3 or PracticeMaster program is installed (if any). The information provided depends on the operating system of the workstation used to access the Help | About window. Not all items listed below are included for all versions and/or operating systems.

The total amount of RAM installed on the workstation, in kilobytes (KB). |

Total Bytes in Page File |
The amount of memory, in bytes, configured in the operating system for the volume's page file. The size of the page file indicates the number of pages (i.e., blocks of memory) configured in the operating system to be allocated to virtual memory on each volume (i.e., each hard disk or disk partition). This information is provided mainly for technical support purposes. |

Available Bytes in Page File |
The amount of memory, in bytes, currently available in the volume's page file. This information is provided mainly for technical support purposes. Factors that influence this value include programs currently open on the workstation, virtual memory settings, etc. |

Amount of disk space available in the current working directory in which the Tabs3 or PracticeMaster program is installed. |

Drive Type for CWD |
Type of hard disk of the current working directory in which the Tabs3 or PracticeMaster program is installed. Available options include: Fixed (Hard Drive), for local hard disks, and Remote (Network), for hard disks on another computer connected by the network. |

Type of file system used by the hard disk on which the Tabs3 or PracticeMaster program is installed (where "X" represents the drive letter). The network type can be determined based on the type of file system used. Possible values are listed in the following table:

Processor |
The type or class of processor used by the workstation on which the Help | About window is accessed. |

Math Coprocessor |
Indicates whether the workstation has a built-in math coprocessor. |

The number of processors used by the workstation (typically, 1). |

Windows Version |
The version of the Windows operating system used by the workstation on which the Help | About window is accessed.
Note: The Version 15 and later Help | About window lists the OS name, rather than providing the Windows NT version number. |

User Account Control |
Indicates whether the workstation currently has UAC enabled or disabled. Possible options: On or Off. |

Virtualization allows the workstation to redirect file and registry write failures to user-specific locations. This can be beneficial because a user can see fewer asserts throughout the day, but in the same way it can serve to hide when a potential issue exists. Possible options: On or Off. |

The version of the dtSearch Engine is listed in the last row of the lower section. dtSearch is the search engine used by PracticeMaster Premier to index linked documents and e-mail attachments for conflict of interest searching. |
