An error "5" indicates that a payee/vendor has a value other than None for its 1099 Info option and no Federal ID number has been entered in the Federal ID # field.
In TAS, this error occurs only if the data is corrupted or you have converted from an older version of TAS. The current version of TAS does not allow you to specify a 1099 Info option unless a Federal ID number has been entered. Since payees do not have payee numbers, the error code reports the payee name as opposed to a number.
To correct the error, enter the Federal ID number for the specified payee/vendor or change the payee/vendor's 1099 Info option to None.
