SUMMARY

Several users have reported that a blank page is ejected when printing within Tabs3 and PracticeMaster software using an HP LaserJet 4000-series printer.  This is a problem caused by the HP printer driver. This is especially a problem when printing statements in Tabs3 or checks in APS and TAS.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

The problem should only occur when printing to an HP LaserJet 4000 printer that uses the HP LaserJet 4000 PCL6 driver.  The HP LaserJet 4000 printer comes with two drivers, PCL6 and PCL5e.  The default driver is the HPPCL6 driver.

RESOLUTION

There is no way in our programs to solve this problem; however, a workaround is to install the HP LaserJet4000 PCL5e driver that comes with the printer.  Both drivers can be installed at the same time and the PCL6 driver can be used with any other program. However, the PCL5e driver should be used with our software to avoid blank pages from printing.
